July 9: Saturday sunrise

I had a massive sleep-in this morning (7:30am) and woke up to this sunrise. So I got Brylee up and ready then grabbed the camera + tripod and ran over the road. I know that you can see my shadow in the bottom and was going to crop it but kinda like it so decided not to… So that’s it for day 190 πŸ™‚

  1. Hi Stephen, That is one cool shot. love the play of light and colors.

p.s: just wish the shots are little large in size or if they opened up on light box or something, I know I can click on them to open just the image , but it is not very sleek !

    • Hey, thanks for your comments! πŸ™‚ Yea I totally agree with you but I can’t figure out how to get them to open up large in a nicer format! It’s been doing my head in but can’t work out how to do it as I don’t know how to self-host and my options seem limited within this theme. Any ideas you (or others) have would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again πŸ™‚

      • open a flickr.com account… if you can access it down in your part of the world. That’s what I usually do with my photos (not the last few). You can embed the photo in the post, and when you are formatting the embedding, you can link the photo to a larger file image.

Beautiful shot Stephen! I think the shadows add a really good dimension of the photo.

      • Awesome, thanks for the advice! πŸ™‚ I will have a look at a flickr.com account and see what I can rustle up!
And thanks for your kind comments πŸ™‚

    • If it wasn’t in the morning, sunrise would have to be my favorite time of the day! Just so still and peaceful… I like! Still trying to figure out how to not get the sky too grainy using HDR at night/early morning though…
