August 21: 1964 Chevrolet Impala

I had my first proper crack at car photography today and what a car to start with! I met the owner of this 1964 Chevrolet Impala last month ( when I saw some American Muscles Cars down the main street and shot some photos but then got in contact later and jacked up today. It was a perfect afternoon and drove down to a local park then spent half an hour shooting this beauty. It was an awesome car so wanted to spend a while getting the shots right as I want to get into car photography a bit more in the future and will use these images as advertising. Apparently it was valued at $35,000 a year ago so I know I’ll never own one but the next best thing is to take photos of them! Anyway I’ve got a decent stash of images on my computer now but don’t have much time to edit them at the moment so will post more when I have the time. Great day for day 231 and stay tuned for more!

August 2: Burnt out

This car was obviously burnt out a while ago and I have been driving past it every day for the past few weeks and meaning every time to stop and take photos. It was in a paddock next to the road but a few days ago it was moved out of the paddock and is now sitting beside the road. I figure this meant that it will soon be taken away so I finally had time tonight to stop and take a few photos. It was a bit of a mission as there were a few cars coming past and I had to move out onto the road with the tripod between passing cars to take the photos but it worked out in the end 🙂 And that’s it for day 243!

July 8: Muscle cars

Great find today! I was down the road getting dinner and went for a walk while I was waiting. I walked past these cars and thought it would be cool to take some photos but didn’t have my camera on me so I went home and grabbed my camera then headed back down. I chatted to the owners and they were more than happy for me to take photos so I set up and went for it… Some amazing cars and looking forward to getting some shots in daylight when they have a big meet in October! Happy with the results for day 189 and hope the owners enjoy the shots 🙂
