December 4: Tiny Christmas tree

I don’t have my camera tonight!! We came home in a friends car last night and my camera was in the boot but I forgot to get it out when we arrived home and only realised tonight when I went to take my photo. So this photo of our little Christmas tree table decoration was taken with Mel’s pretty average Samsung point-and-shoot which is marginally better than my phone… Marginally! But anyway, it’s spreading the Christmas cheer on day 336 so that’s what it’s all about…?

November 20: Family lunch

It was hot again today so we went out to Amberly for lunch and some family time. There is a cafe there that Mel and her grandparents often go to so we had a pizza for lunch then went to see the animals that they have for kids to feed. Another great day with Mel and Brylee on day 322 😀

November 14: Estuary sunset

I went for a walk down to the beach tonight and even though it was pretty windy and cold, it was awesome! The waves were pretty loud and the beach was deserted but I like the beach when it’s windy and stormy so enjoyed the walk. This is the estuary where I walked on the way back and it was pretty calm because it’s sheltered by the sand dunes. Living the dream at the beach on day 316 😀

October 11: Walk on the beach

I went for a walk down the beach this morning and even though it was a pretty stink morning, the beach is always awesome. We love living at the beach and are looking forward to our first summer here and spending lots of of swimming and lazing around. Anyway, here are a few shots that I like from day 282…

August 10: “Maikuku” sunset

We moved into our new house in Waikuku Beach (or Maikuku…) last week and the estuary is about 200m from our house and a pretty cool place to walk so there will be a few photos from there this year… The sunset was pretty awesome tonight so I wandered down for a look with my camera and this is the photo that I liked the best. I know it’s another sunset and there have been a few in the last 220 days but it is a pretty amazing time of the day so I don’t mind…
